Josie
Veterinary Assistant
Josie has been working in the veterinary field since 2021, following a background in dog training and behaviour studies. A lifelong animal lover, she knew from a young age that she was meant to care for animals—starting with her childhood role as “doctor,” helping care for her grandmother’s diabetic cat (a task she took very seriously!).
She has a soft spot for both cats and dogs, but has a growing fascination with exotic pets and the unique challenges they bring. She holds experience in Fear-Free handling and has completed continuing education in animal nutrition, dermatology, and behaviour. She enjoys the challenge of working with nervous or “spicy” pets, and always loves solving a good mystery case.
At home, Josie shares her life with two mischievous cats, Martha and Doris, and her dog Ellie, and prefers spending her free time in the garden. Her favourite part of the job? Providing client education and meeting all the adorable patients— of course sneaking in the occasional kitten or puppy smooch
