PREVENTATIVE CARE

It is vital (and sometimes life-saving) for our small friends to receive proper preventative care and veterinary attention specific to their unique needs. Preventative examination helps identify and treat emerging health issues including:

  • Appropriate handling and management

  • Nutritional assessments and requirements

  • Housing requirements

  • Spaying / Neutering

  • Parasite control

ILLNESS MANAGEMENT

It is critical that sick small mammals are examined and managed as soon as possible. Clinical signs to watch for include:

  • Lethargy / Not wanting to move

  • Eating poorly or not eating for more than 18 hours

  • No urine or stool output for more than 18 hours

  • Sneezing / sniffling / nasal discharge

  • Difficulty walking

  • Hair loss

DIAGNOSTICS AND SURGERY

Just like dogs and cats, we offer diagnostic tests and treatments for small mammals too! Our team is able to perform radiographs (X-Rays), blood tests, anesthesia, dental treatments and a variety of surgeries that may be needed for small mammals.
