Veterinarian

From a young age, Dr. Elyse Hauer knew she wanted to spend her life with animals. As a student, she volunteered her time at animal rescues and obtained experience with a variety of species, including donkeys. She completed her undergraduate degree at Acadia University in Nova Scotia before obtaining her veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. 

 

Dr. Hauer has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Simcoe region since 2012. Her favourite aspects of the veterinary field include ultrasonography, chronic disease management, and of course, cuddling puppies and kittens!

 

She lives in Oro-Medonte with her husband and two dogs. In her free time she enjoys spending time in nature, ballroom dancing, and watching reality TV.
